My Return to Toledo

September 30, 2005 on 11:45 am | In General | No Comments

I’m heading up to Toledo tonight for a relaxing weekend in the big city. I’ll be staying at the Hotel Seagate both Friday and Saturday night with Tera and the kids. Saturday is Lily’s birthday, and she wanted to go to Toledo again, so that’s what we’re doing. We’ll be hitting up the usual spots, Tony Packos, COSI, and possibly the art museum and the zoo.

If you’re in the area and want to join us, hit me up. I’ll also be heading up next weekend for the Big University of Toledo Homecoming Football game. October is going to be an exciting month. :D

I Had to Jump on This Bandwagon

I absolutely loved what I saw about the new iPod Nano, so much so that I ordered one as soon as they were available through the Apple Store. I picked it up from the shipping/receiving dock here at work about an hour ago, and so far, I like everything I see.

I got the 4GB version, so that estimates out to about 1000 songs. Since it has solid state memory, there is almost no way to make it skip a beat. This thing is so freaking small, yet full of so many features. I can’t wait to get this thing loaded up with songs and podcasts, and especially take it on the bike.

Here is a picture in case any of you were under a rock when it was announced.

After 5 years, I finally did it…

Yesterday, I finally went and took the motorcycle riding test for my endosement. I’d put it off for 5 years, getting a new permit every year. This year, I finally got pissed off enough (since the price has more than doubled since I got my first permit) and scheduled the test.

I had to ride to Deleware to take it, since that was the nearest testing center that gave the test on any kind of regular basis, but it was well worth it, as I passed. It’s quite a relief know that I no longer have to get my permit, even though they charged me the full price to put the endorsement on my license, and I’ll still have to renew it by my birthday in May.

After the test, I rode to work and had a pretty good day. Afterwards, me and Danny decided to ride to Springfield so he could finally order a new pipe for his. I guess he got tired of only hearing motor, and wanted a little more beef behind his bike. It was a fun ride though, and we ended up putting about 100 miles on the bikes yesterday.

Hopefully we’ll get a chance to do it again this weekend, as the weather has been great.
