My New Digital Camera – Nikon D50

Nikon D50

Just got back a little while ago from picking up my new Digital SLR Camera, the Nikon D50. Man, is it’s amazing how much better it is than my old digital camera. When you turn it on, it’s ready to shoot. You don’t have to wait for it to boot up, or wait for the lens to extend, it’s just point and shoot. Even better is the fact that all of the old Nikor Auto-Focus lenses are compatible with it, so my dad’s old 300mm telephoto lens will match up to it nicely. Along with a 1G Ultra SD Card, the case I bought included a spare Lithium Ion Battery, UV Filter, and SLR Basics Book. As an example, I’ve attached a picture I took at the full 6.1 Megapixels, and then resized for ease of viewing. Enjoy!

Right now in my hands I hold one of the first bootable OSx86 10.4.4 disks. This disk will allow anyone to install OSx86 on any SSE2 or greater machine. No, this is not a hoax. This disk is real.

Might have to give this a shot in the next day or two :D

Old Sierra Game Titles Re-released from Target.com

February 22, 2006 on 7:44 am | In Digg, Geek | No Comments

Old Sierra adventure game compilations, include space quest, king’s quest, police quest, and more are slated for release on March 24, 2006. They will be compatible with windows XP. This is great news for all adventure-genre gamers, since these games defined a generation.

This is awesome. I loved playing the old Police Quest and King’s Quest, and I know my old room mate in college loved playing the Space Quest games.

Sometimes it feels like the older games are the most enjoyable.

New Look, Same Great Taste!

February 21, 2006 on 9:09 am | In Site News, flickr | No Comments

I decided over the weekend to go with a little more mainstream blog setup.

I’m now using the latest distribution of WordPress to publish my blog. BlogCMS was nice, but it was just too complicated for what I want to do. This new software will allow me to do more with my blog, and is much easier manage and change.

Along with this change, I have modified the entire site, and removed the old photo albums. You can now find all of the photos and many more at my flickr account.

I haven’t decided if I’m going to continue to offer the forums, as they’ve been used very little as of late.

Other than that, there are still some changes I’d like to implement, so hopefully in time those changes will materialize in the near future. Please let me know what you think of all this if you like.
