Microsoft Officially launches OneCare Security for Windows
May 31, 2006 on 1:56 pm | In Digg | No CommentsIs it just me, or is this like paying protection money to the mob? If you’re paying good money for Microsoft Products, shouldn’t you expect these issues to never arrise? And if they do, then they should be taken care of as a part of the initial purchase cost?
Windows Live OneCare, which will protect up to three computers for $49.95 per year, marks the latest step in Microsoft’s effort over the years to make its operating system less vulnerable to crippling Internet attacks.

My First Post as a Homeowner
May 22, 2006 on 10:16 am | In Geek, General | No CommentsThings are finally starting to calm down around the house. Everything has been moved, and I turned in my keys to the apartment late last week. Now we’ve come to the neverending process of unpacking.
The house is really shaping up nicely. It’s so nice having that much room. We can now fit all of our furniture in the living room, and have some space to spare, and my 52″ Toshiba DLP looks great in the large living room. There are so many things I want to do in the future, but for now, it’s nice to have a home.
I’ll try to get some pictures taken and uploaded later this week. I’ll be getting the internet hooked up on Wednesday, and the alarm installed tomorrow. Then, I think everything will be setup.
Hopefully in the coming weeks, I’ll be adding a digital PBX system (Asterisk) setup and running along with the rest of my network. For those of you geeks out there, you’ll know what I’m talking about
Closing Time
May 12, 2006 on 5:38 am | In General | 1 CommentThe day has finally come. Today I officially become a home owner!
It’s definitely exciting, yet a very nervous process. Today I buy my first home, yet sign away my life for 30 years. Kind of ironic if you ask me. It’s like starting a new life that’s not yours. O well, it beats the hell out of pissing money away every month in the form of rent!
I’ll be moving today and tomorrow, and then the fun part of unpacking. I’m going to try to avoid having to take any time off for moving, since I took a few days off last week to go to Florida/Alabama, but we’ll see if that’s how it all goes down. Once we get moved, I think there will be a small cookout planned for the end of this month. Hopefully you’ll be hearing back from me on that front.

May 3, 2006 on 6:32 am | In General | No CommentsSeems the largely popular animation site has suffered a personal tragedy. The father and business partner of the HomeStar Runner crew has passed away. Just thought the fans might want to know and maybe leave some kind thoughts.
