Bachelor Party, Wedding Planning, Flickr Updates, and My(bleh)Space
August 29, 2006 on 2:22 pm | In General, flickr | No CommentsSo, we’re inside the two week mark for the upcoming wedding. Things are starting to fall into place, and it’s really starting to feel real. This weekend, I’m hoping to get some of the old gang back together for a small bachelor party. Danny has been trying to get everyone on the same page, but I guess we’ll never know exactly what’s going to happen until that day. As of now, I think we’re going to be playing a round of 9 holes, followed by catching dinner and watching the Buckeye’s game at the newly opened Route 68 Grill. I stopped in there last night, and the owner Brian (who I used to work for) told me that he received his liquor license, and should be serving beer in plenty of time for the game! That should be a lot of fun. After the game, who knows what will happen. We may just stick around there and hang out, or maybe we’ll go hit some other bars. Just as long as I get to have fun with my buddies, that’s all I care about. All I know is I’m looking forward to spending some time with my closest friends. It’s so rare that we can all get together, that I’m really super stoked about it.
We got the reception catering taken care of, as well as the wedding cake I think. I’ve pretty much let Tera take care of those plans, as that’s just a girlie type of thing. I, however, have been planning the alcohol situation, and I think that I will have a keg of beer available for the reception. I really can’t wait to have everyone over at the house for the reception. The RSVP’s are pouring in, and there have been a few surprises. My uncle Jim is coming, and based on the notice and distance to travel, I kind of figured he wouldn’t be able to make but, but wonder’s never cease. He replied that he would be attending.
In other news, Flickr added the ability to GeoTag photos. What that means is you can mark where a photo was taken on a map, and browse photos by location. I started tagging my photos last night, and got quite a few done. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish the rest of them soon. Check it out when you get a chance.
Finally, I started a MySpace page recently. I was browsing some of the people from high school, and figured it’d be a good place to reconnect with old friends and such. While I still feel that MySpace is a travesty in terms of design and most pages brutally murder good taste, my need to be connected overwhelmed me and pushed me to create a page. It’s very basic, and pretty much just links to my main web sites, including this one. So to those of you finding your way here from MySpace, I’m glad you came! I guess that about wraps up all of the current loose ends, so as soon as more things unravel, I’ll post back up here.
Marriage, Babies, and Other Fun Stuff
August 17, 2006 on 2:15 pm | In General, Site News | No CommentsFirst off, we set a date, and have mailed the invitiations for our wedding. We’re getting married at home on September 9th, followed by a reception. I can’t wait to see everyone! Are we ready? Of course not, but I think we will be. There is plenty to do, (catering, cleaning, and everything else), but I’m sure we’ll be ok. I just can’t wait for everyone to come and spend time with us, since we really haven’t had this scale of gathering at our new house yet. And finally, it will be good to be married
Along with getting ready for the big day, we’re also starting to get ready for the baby. I finally got the crib painted, and now I have to figure out how to put it together. Then, I’ll start painting the changing table, and begin painting the baby’s bedroom. So much to do, so little time
In terms of news about this site, I’ve added a little Meebo Flash Plug-in on the right side of the page. With this, visitors to the site can talk to me directly. If I’m online, I’ll get your message immediately, and if not, it will be there the next time I sign-in. I’m excited to see how it’s utilized. Give it a try!
Finally, along with our invitations, we took and sent out our engagement picture.

I guess that’s about it for now.

It’s Going to be a Boy!
August 2, 2006 on 6:16 am | In General | No CommentsWe had the ultrasound last night and found out the good news. Note the large phallic object between his legs
I’m so excited! Getting the ultrasound done really makes it all feel very real now. It was quite an amazing experience getting to see the baby move.
